The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) is the apex body of Indian Muslims and it accused the central government of trying to break its unity.

At the 26th plenary, the AIMPLB said that some individuals and government with parochial interests are trying to break the unity of the board. The three-day meet passed the Hyderabad Declaration which said that the Board was fully aware of the attempts by individuals and government with parochial interest were trying to break the unity of the board and it will be harmful to the whole community. The endeavors should not be allowed to take hold within the organization and the cohesive unity of the Board should remain intact.

The board leaders at the large public meeting attended by thousands of the community said that the unity if the bard was at risk and warned Maulana Nadvi without naming him. The board in its Hyderabad Declaration noted that the AIMPLB was created for the protection of Shariya laws and to bring Muslim community together.  It emphasized that the Muslim unity should be protected at all costs.

The leaders of the board said that it was need of the hour that Muslims should unite and have the utmost faith in the Board. It added that all the unanimous decisions of the board should be accepted by every Muslim and each one should be ready for sacrifices for the larger endeavors.

The board made allegations against some individuals and central government saying the attempts are being made to sow the seed of discord among Muslims and in this situation, everyone should come together and show their faith in the board and its decisions. It also called for the removal of misunderstandings and misconceptions and said that Shariya laws are made for the benefit of the mankind.

The declaration without taking the name of Maulana Salman Hussaini Nadvi warned him in the wake of him openly defying the board and its decisions. Maulana Nadvi, going against Board’s strict rule that the Mosque land can never be gifted, sold or exchanged, said on the eve of plenary that the land of demolished Babri Masjid should be given for the construction of Ram Temple.

On the first day, the plenary pulled up a cleric and decided to take action against him and Nadvi said that he will not remain on the board. The Board, on Sunday, accepted Nadvi’s disassociation unanimously. It is not sure who is right and who is wrong but it is clear that both Hindus and Muslims are trying to prove their existence boldly in the site of Ayodhya dispute. Let’s wait up the hearing, which is yet to be finalized after 2019 general election.
