Every sport needs an audience to kick it start and make itself one of the most happening sports around the world. Even when drones are trending really high, they don’t have much fans for the drone racing events. Diehard fans take any sport to the next level.
The Dubai drone racing event was a major hit but then again, not a lot of people attended it. If thousands of people adore it, not more than a few hundreds of them will fly to Dubai to actually attend the event. And that is exactly what happened. Not a lot of diehard fans are seen in as proper audience in drone racing events.
- Is it affordable for all?
There a lot of hobbyists who find drone racing incredible. They buy a beginners drone to start their journey but with the passage of time, the game becomes too much expensive for them. A good drone, which can take part in proper races might cost you around $1000 easily. And if you compare that with basketball, then the prices have a huge difference.

- Is watching it Fun?
To be honest, it is not. If you watch it live, it might keep you attentive. But if you watch a YouTube video of the event, then you will see that the videos are too unattractive. There is hardly any commentary in the back and all you can hear is silence. There is no music, no screaming or cheering and above all, the commentary is not constant or even close to constant. This can happen due to the fact that the commentator does not have enough knowledge about the drones that have participated in the event. This makes them turn silent. But on a serious note, there is nothing much to talk about.
