An Indian Doctor Ramamurthy Kosanam, who has been recently rescued from Islamic State, said that ISIS is targeting India for their next destination. The terror group has a lot of interest in India to take over. He said that he had enough conversation with his captors regarding India’s education system, economic growth, and other development programs. “They have a lot of interest in the current situation and improvement programs and they are having enough information also,” says Ramamurthy in an interview on Sunday.
Nearly 18 months ago Dr. Ramamurthy was abducted by Islamic State militants in Libya. A group of IS militants entered the hospital where Dr. Ramamurthy was working as a physician and kidnapped him on September 8, last year. Recounting of his trouble, the doctor said he was subjected to physical and mental torture to watch their terrible videos, what they have done in Iraq, Nigeria, Syria and other places.
They are a hardcore terrorist group and they want to impose their rules and regulations to all the people in the world. They asked the doctor to work with their group. Dr. Ramamurthy told them that he doesn’t have enough experience to work as a general surgeon in their hospital, but still they forced him to work with their group. Kosanam said, “I am only a general physician, not a general surgeon, but still they asked me to work in their hospital”. He had refused to serve them as he was 61years old at that time. Dr. K Ramamurthy also mentioned that he was hit by a bullet at least three times by the ISIS, after which he had to stay in ICU for almost 20 days.
Talking about the cadres of IS terror group, Dr. Kosanam added that all the members of the terror group were fully dedicated towards their organization and everybody was following their each and every rule strictly. According to Ramamurthy”All the members of the terror group are well informed and well educated about India and India’s culture, education, development, improvement, economy and everything else. They have a lot of interested about India. I did understand that they want to spread their ideology to other parts of the world, including India, but didn’t understand their actual plan” he said.
He has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior Indian officials. Dr. Ramamurthy Kosanam added that never he will forget the help done by the Indian government to get him free from the dreaded terrorist group, ISIS.
Now it’s India’s turn to protect itself from the terror group. A number of the terror attacks have been faced every year in India. We weren’t able to protect ourselves from this bloody terrorists. And obviously, a group of those attackers were much smaller than ISIS. If really we are to face another attack of ISIS in this development phase of India, then it will be a big question mark on our security system and government.
