Political parties in Uttar Pradesh have been forced to prepare for a virtual campaign in the wake of the outbreak. A state-of-the-art ‘war room’ for surveillance on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter. The Election Commission will review the situation after 15th January. But realizing the wind of transition, parties like BJP, SP, RLD, Congress are assuming that it will not be possible to go on the field this month. That is why they have started social media and video promotion.

According to political observers, the BJP is far ahead in this regard. According to sources, first of all, their emphasis in Uttar Pradesh is much higher. Second, Yogi Adityanath’s team has long been an expert in IT cell-based promotion and technology. Their leaders and staff are also much more familiar with the new technology than any other party in Uttar Pradesh.

According to sources, Mayawati’s BSP is far behind in this regard. They have no specific trained team to take charge of social media. The problem is that a large part of the BSP vote bank is not accustomed to technology. There is less idea about the virtual world. Even small parties are not relying on virtual media. They are saying that they are completely ready for the vote.
